What To Expect

  • Where do I park and enter?

From the moment you pull onto the property, you will feel the excitement of the Sunday worship experience at Encounter Church. We have parking lots at both of our locations. At Kentwood, we have partnered with the businesses around our building, so if the Encounter lot is full, feel free to park in the parking lots immediately surrounding our lot!

  • What should I wear?

There's no dress code at Encounter! You can expect everything from joggers and ripped pants to something more formal. All that matters is you!

  • What about my kids?

Encounter Kids! provides engaging kid's worship experiences every weekend.

  • What is a worship experience like?

We strive to create modern, engaging, and creative experiences. We always have a time of energetic, fun, and passionate worship music, a time to talk about how to get more involved and connected here, and a message from someone on our speaking team, generally, our lead pastor, Dirk VanEyk.

  • Am I expected to give money?

Giving is an act of worship and obedience for those who call Encounter Church home. As our guest, you’re not expected to give any money. We have been blessed with many opportunities to serve the needs of our community, and through the generosity of our partners, we can meet those needs.

  • Can I watch worship online if I can’t attend in person?

Absolutely! If for any reason you can’t make our in-person service, you can always watch it live or watch it back here on our YouTube channel.

  • Can I talk to someone?

If you have any other questions or simply want to talk to someone, we’re on the other end of this line and are eager to chat with you.
