Raised To Life In Christ

Water Changes Everything

Baptism is a physical sign of a deep spiritual truth and an outward expression of an internal transformation. Jesus baptized his followers (John 3:22) to demonstrate that just as water washes away dirt from our bodies, the sacrifice of Jesus washes away all my sins. There's nothing mysterious or magical about the water, but it's what the water points toward – the sacrifice of Jesus.

Baptism is an outward sign of what is happening inside of you. Baptism is a way to show the people around you that you have died and risen back to life in Christ.

Do I have to believe anything in particular?

Baptism is a starting point of faith so we don't put many qualifications on it. As a starting point, we ask that you can affirm the following statements:

1. I believe I'm in need of Jesus' grace.

2. I believe that Jesus Christ, through his death and resurrection, conquered my sin and death.

3. I believe that the Bible is God's infallible word and plan of salvation.

4. I am committed to growing in my faith and loving like Jesus loved.
